First Trip Up to Snowbowl of the Season
Share
This past weekend, I took the drive up I-17 and hit Snowbowl for the first time this season. I'll say one thing to start before I go into anything else. WE NEED SNOW!! While the snowmakers did a fantastic job of making something out of nothing, Arizona is in desperate need of snow in the near future. The snowmakers up in Flagstaff deserve so much props for even keeping the runs open with the dry spell going on up there. Thank you to all of you guys.
I went up for Friday and Saturday and man was it good to be back on the mountain. To ease into the season, I wasn't doing anything crazy up there. Hit a top speed of about 37 mph and only sent one jump (landed on a gnarly ice patch and ate it). The vibes up on the mountain were unmatched though. Everyone was just hyped to be up there and it showed. Every lift up, we had full conversations with the other groups and everyone was just in such a chill mood. Overall, one of my favorites weekends trips I've done, despite the conditions.
Super stoked for this upcoming weekend as I will be heading up to Salt Lake City and going to Brighton Resort. It'll be my first time snowboarding in Utah and I could not be more excited. Stay tuned for updates from that trip!
